Megan LaPorta, soprano, performs frequently around New England as a soloist and soprano section leader, and has earned numerous accolades in vocal competitions throughout the area. She graduated from the University of Bridgeport with a Master of Science in Education, and holds a Bachelor of Arts in Music with a concentration in Vocal Performance from Central Connecticut State University. She has studied voice under the instruction of Adele Paxton, Zehava Gal of Westminster Choir College, and Dr. Constance Rock of the University of Connecticut. Megan is a proud alumna of the prestigious CCSU University Singers. She also co-founded the Central A Cappella Society, and directed the first all-female a cappella group at CCSU: the AcaBellas. Megan and her twin sister Katherine LaPorta Jesensky are known for their emotional and skillful duets. They have received rave reviews from the USH News in Hartford, Connecticut: “You won’t believe the magic created by these two identical voices!”
