NicDaniel is a Bass-Baritone currently studying at the Hartt School of the University of Hartford, where he specializes in classical voice and cabaret-style singing. Earlier this year, he portrayed the role of Polyphemus in Hartt’s production of Handel’s Acis and Galatea. An active versatile choral singer in the community, NicDaniel has performed with numerous groups, including the Greater Middletown Chorale, the New Haven Chorale, Chorus Angelicus-Gaudeamus under Gabriel Löfvall, and the Manchester Symphony Orchestra and Chorale (MSOC). He is excited to join the Voices of Hartford team as the Artistic Coordinator this season.

NicDaniel has also performed as a bass soloist in Mozart’s “Coronation” Mass at the Bushnell Theater under the direction of Dr. Carolina Flores and as a choral singer in Distant Worlds: Music from FINAL FANTASY with the Hartford Symphony Orchestra at the Bushnell Theater, conducted by Grammy-winning Arnie Roth.

As a choral director, NicDaniel is the co-founder of Hartt Tenuto, a vocal a cappella chamber ensemble dedicated mostly to early music. He also served as the music director for L’Shir a Cappella, one of the University of Hartford’s student-run a cappella groups. A first-year graduate student, NicDaniel is pursuing a Graduate Performance Degree (GPD) in Vocal Performance this upcoming school year.
